BMW Group has announced that three new models will be premiered at the Canadian International Auto Show (CIAS) next month. Following the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, BMW will unveil the X6 Concept Active Hybrid, BMW 1-Series Cabriolet and M3 Sedan to the Canadian market.

The X6 Active Hybrid concept boasts an economy and emissions improvement of up to 20 percent versus a comparable machine. A Sports Activity Coupe, it visually and dynamically captures the essence of the brands DNA while combining efficiency with driving pleasure in the same machine. A unique paint and wheel combination work to set it apart from the standard X6 model.

For buyers after a more wind-in-their-hair experience, the new 1-Series Cabriolet will be available in 128i and 135i trims when it goes on sale later this year. Cabriolet models are powered by the same selection of inline six-cylinder engines as their hard-topped counterparts, topping out as the 135i Cabriolet with 300 horsepower. Both engines deliver fantastic performance and excellent mileage figures.

Of course, the buzz with performance buffs at BMW's stand will be about the new M3. Available in 3 body configurations, the sedan model will be on display to the public.

Packing 414 clean horsepower from a new V8 engine, the M3 sedan will be the best handling and fastest 3-Series yet. Engineers have ensured that the new car delivers stand-out performance and power, while using less fuel than the previous generation.

The CIAS opens February 15th.
