BMW really has found the ideal recipe to attract consumer attention. After launching the immensely-popular 1M, the German automaker is enjoying similar success with the all-new M3 CRT. Autobild now reports that all 67 units are already spoken for... less than a week after its debut!
The car features several weight-saving solutions, including carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) components. CFRP is also used for the dual hood mouldings, rear spoiler, air-channelling element in the front fascia as well as the seat structures. As a result, the M3 CRT tips the scales at 100 pounds below the standard model.
Similar to the engine in the M3 GTS, the fire-breathing V8 cranks out 450 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. BMW claims a 0-100 km/h time of 4.4 seconds.
Unfortunately, we won't see the M3 CRT on North American roads since the company decided not to make it available on our shores.
