DTS looks like a smart luxury sedan buy
Confirm proper operation of the headlights, and ask the seller if they’ve ever noticed a flickering or non-illuminating headlamp, which could indicate an electronics problem.

Vibration through the pedal assembly, floor or seat could be caused by improperly balanced tires or wheels. Many owners have experienced this problem and had mixed results having it remedied, since apparently the DTS’s platform is sensitive to such vibrations.

Check that the vehicle you’re considering has no leaks from the transmission, engine or cooling system, just to be safe. A Cadillac-trained mechanic can help if you’re not comfortable checking for leaks yourself.

The Verdict Of A Used Cadillac DTS:
Lower-than-average resale values, higher-than average reliability and a reputation for comfort, luxury and overall value mean the DTS should be an appealing alternative to a pricier overseas model in the used segment. Look for a newer model with a good portion of GM’s 160,000-km powertrain warranty remaining, and shop confidently.
