Canadian Tire has shifted into high gear its commitment to motorsport in Canada, by partnering with the track formerly known as Mosport International Raceway.
From now on, the well-loved Canadian monument will be called "Canadian Tire Motorsport Park".
"Canadian Tire is excited to give back to the racing community by working with Mosport International Raceway to improve this racing landmark in Canada," Allan MacDonald said, Canadian Tire's Automotive Senior Vice President.
The partnership also includes many facility upgrades, all of which should be finished in time for the spectators to witness on the Victoria Day SpeedFest weekend, held at the Bowmanville track on May 18-20.
Over the years, Mosport has been the spiritual home of Canada’s motorsports, welcoming Formula One, amongst other series. It now plays host to the NASCAR Canadian Tire series, the Castrol Touring Car Championship and the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge.
The World Challenge and the American Le Mans Series, also pay their annual visit.
