The podium of the Super Touring class remained unchanged from one race to the other. While Ciekiewicz’s Subaru WRX STi finished 0.553 seconds ahead of rival Gregory Pootmans’ BMW 328 on Saturday, he managed to hold a 0.837 advantage on Sunday.

Sasha Anis started and finished in third on both the 13 laps and the 20 laps races this week-end in Mosport. And while in appearance the top-three at the start remained the top-three at the cross finish line, Ciekiewicz insisted it wasn’t all easy for him as Pootmans never gave up.

“It was a little frustrating because what I have in power over Greg he has double over me in braking and handling,” Ciekiewicz explained Saturday. “I could [gap] him on the straights, but when it comes down to braking, he’s gobbling me up on the brakes and [getting] back everything I’m able to pick up.”

In the Touring class, Kurt Langeveldt’s Mazda Protégé had the best of rival Anthony Rapone’s Honda Civic Si by 0.597 seconds on Saturday’s 20 minutes’ race. Tom Kwok rounded up the podium in his Honda Civic.

Sunday, Kwok would make his way in front of both rivals, finishing 0.291 seconds ahead of Langeveldt and Rapone, second and third respectively.

Saturday’s race was reset after many cars were involved in various on track contacts before the end of the first lap. Four competitors including touring class polesitter Michel Sallenbach were forced to give up right away.

The series will head next to Mirabel on September 11 and 12 for the last race week-end of its season.
