Renault is seriously in the swing of things. Figures as we are literally in this maker's backyard. Between it and Nissan's unveils, no less than 10 vehicles will have their covers yanked off.

The French are well known for their models (if you catch my drift...) and so it is normal that we find numerous prototypes and concepts, representing design, technology and curvacious lines.

Renault launched a series of new electric vehicles.

The new Laguna
A more assertive front end design on the hatch and Sport Tourer points toward driving pleasure and complete peace of mind, says the press release. With the highest level of quality, reliability and safety, New Renault Laguna is more attractive than ever.

The exclusive 4Control four-wheel steering system will be available in the UK with the dCi 180 engine. Agile and dynamic, the new Renault Laguna is also respectful of the environment, with Euro 5 engines and lower CO2 on all engines, including the dCi 110 which emits just 120g/km, 10 grams less than today. Technology abounds with Carminat TomTom Live® navigation system and Bose® sound system.

DeZir is an electric coupé car, combines passion and respect of the environment.

"Electric vehicles for all," sais Carlos Ghosn, boss of Renault. "Renault will work hard to produce a new generation of batteries that will be more efficient and faster to recharge".

Renault will also offer a loan service of batteries for their vehicles.

Fluence Z.E.
The Fluence Z.E., a 4-door sedan, is the first production-ready car that will use Better Place's battery swapping system. This new technology consists in a battery that, if depleted, can be replaced by a fully charged one in three minutes.

Twizy

This is an all-electric city commuter car designed for busy urbanite's live. Small and easy to drive, the vehicle's only draw-back seems to be the lack of weather-protective body panels. Consider this a 4-wheel tandem scooter.
