The new version of the Sonata, equipped with a turbocharged engine, will soon make its way into Canadian Hyundai showrooms with a $28,999 MSRP.
Its turbo 2.0-litre inline-4 produces 274 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque peaking at only 1,750 rpm, numbers that line up with the competition’s most powerful V6 engines. A 6-speed automatic with manual mode is the only one offered.
The advantage is that the Sonata 2.0T offers lower fuel consumption compared to Camry V6, Accord V6 and Fusion V6.
The Sonata 2.0T also benefits from 18-inch alloy wheels, a sport suspension, dual exhaust, an intelligent key system and sport seats.
In addition, the $31,749 2.0T Limited adds dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery, heated rear seats and an optional navigation system.
