Once again, Test Fest has come and gone. With three days of non-stop, back-to-back road and track testing of 57(!) new vehicles, we now know who the category winners are and, by default, who the finalists are for the coveted title of the AJAC’s Canadian Car and Utility Vehicle of the Year.
This year, 78 auto journalists showed up for Test Fest which takes place in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. As per usual, Auto123.com was out in force with no fewer than nine being members of our team.
Without further ado, here are the vehicles that have won trophies for their manufacturers:
BEST NEW SMALL CAR (under $21k) - Hyundai Accent
BEST NEW SMALL CAR (over $21k) - Hyundai Elantra
BEST NEW FAMILY CAR (under $30k) - Kia Optima
BEST NEW FAMILY CAR (over $30k) - Kia Optima Hybrid
BEST NEW LUXURY CAR - Mercedes-Benz C 350 4MATIC

They will be proclaimed at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto on Thursday, February 16 2012.
