MISSISSAUGA, Ontario – As the busy Labour Day travel weekend approaches, Bridgestone Canada Inc. (BSCA) is excited to announce it has reached an agreement to extend its sponsorship with the Canada Safety Council (CSC) through 2010. The two organizations will work together to offer motorists tips, safety information and travel advice aimed at helping to make our roads safer this holiday weekend and year round.
Before drivers hit the road, BSCA and the CSC encourages all drivers to visit the company’s innovative safety website; www.TireSafety.com and register to receive free monthly e-mails reminding motorists to check the inflation pressure in their tires. This service is just one component of the website, which is a resource for useful information to help make our roads safer for everyone and help consumers save money in both fuel and tire costs.
BSCA is proud to support the CSC and the work it does with children through the Elmer the Safety Elephant program. With the sponsorship extended through 2010, BSCA is committed to working with the CSC to build on the success of Elmer.ca and work together to reach out to more parents, students and educators across Canada to provide monthly tips, useful safety information and educational materials aimed at teaching our kids safe and healthy habits that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
