25 years and more than 12 million minivans later, Chrysler is celebrating the silver anniversary of their famous family-hauler.
"Chrysler and Dodge minivans have been making automotive history for the past quarter-century" said Mark Bosanac, VP of Marketing at Chrysler Canada. "To commemorate this significant minivan milestone, Chrysler Canada is proud to offer the 25th Anniversary Dodge Grand Caravan as the best-equipped minivan for the best price in Canada."
He's referring to the limited-production 25th Anniversary 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan SE Stow 'n Go. It includes second-row bucket seats, a split-folding rear bench, a leather steering wheel with audio controls and various power accessories. Also included are unique badging, 17-inch alloy wheels and power heated mirrors.
Chrysler says the special packaging adds over $1,400 in value for shoppers, for just $700. The special 25th anniversary model is available for $29,945, with production beginning later this month.
Chrysler's minivans are available with numerous innovations, including blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path traffic monitoring and a Swivel ' n' Go seating system which allows rear-seat occupants to face one another over a small table for activities.
Notable is the recently-updated 4.0 liter engine, which has just been revised for an 8 percent improvement in fuel consumption over last year's model.
