With the holiday season just around the corner, everybody gets in a sharing mood. It seems that Porsche and Bentley are starting to feel the effects, as rumors claim that the two manufacturers could be partners in a near future.
According to Autocar, Matthias Müller, Porsche’s new boss, thinks it would be a great idea to share platforms with Bentley, but recognizes that the British brand’s own plans, could influence the possibilities of putting further variants of the Panamera into production.
Mr. Müller believes that “Porsche has to discuss with Bentley whether we can put together our performance, our engineers. What we want to do, in conjunction with Bentley, is to have a common architecture, a common performance in purchasing, and so on. That is just an offer to Bentley; you have to understand. Everybody will be keen to get synergies and reduce costs, and at the end of the day, have a better revenue”.
Will this eventual partnership between the two manufacturers mark the return of the Porsche 928?
