According to information published by Automobile magazine, Chrysler executives have confirmed that SRT8 variants will hit dealerships once again, to the delight of Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge fans.
However, the same execs refused to confirm which models will harness the full power of the legendary 6.4-litre, V8 HEMI. In the last few weeks, SRT8 Chargers and Grand Cherokees have been caught in flagrante delicto on test runs.
Performance-wise, the 470 ponies and 470 ft-lb of torque should remain unchanged, as well as the addition of an improved braking system and suspension, integral to all SRT8 versions.
If we look at the past, the Chrysler 300 should also inherit the more potent mill. But this is all just conjecture, as is the prediction that these new models will tear up the pavement in 2011 or 2012.
