In a mission to further adapt to and serve the Canadian market, Porsche Cars Canada has just announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer named Christian Marti.

Christian Marti
Marti comes to Porsche after working most recently for Jaguar France, though he has extensive international experience with premium brands that has seen his career span more than 15 years and 4 countries. With the dynamic new 41 year old on board, Porsche is looking forward to further exploiting its growth potential in Canada.

Peter Schwarzenbauer, Chief Executive Officer of Porsche Cars North America, spoke about the company's latest addition from the Toronto Auto Show. "With Christian Marti at the head of our sales organization in Canada, we shall be able to provide an even better service both for Porsche customers and for dealers, thus giving our growth even more momentum."

Marti will report to a German manager for the company, and his appointment comes at a time of growing success for Porsche. In the year ending July 31, 2007, 1,885 vehicles were delivered to customers- though the current 6-month period for this year has seen a growth of 14 percent.

Marti will take the reins of the German performance automaker in our country starting this April.
