Porsche's unique new four-door model, the Panamera, will make its world debut in China before worldwide market launch. Porsche says their latest will be presented publicly for the first time at Auto Shanghai 2009 in China later this year.
Panamera promises to deliver the driving dynamics and performance of a Porsche combined with the comfort and luxury expected by today's premium touring car customer. Porsche says that in spite of the machine's low slung looks, it will deliver ample room and storage space alongside fuel efficient operation.
Panamera will offer power in the form of a set of available 'V' engines, some of which will be available with turbocharging, a dual-clutch transmission or all wheel drive. Panamera will be available with between 300 and 500 horsepower, and a hybrid model is in the works, too. Look for adaptive air suspension and a Sports Chrono package for track duty.
The Panamera will be available for a closer look at Auto Shanghai 2009 from April 20 to 28 before it goes on sale late summer.
