What better else for the unveiling of the new 2010 Ferrari California than to be met by a splendid Ferrari 365 Spider California 1967.

“Over the decades, Ferrari has satisfied the most demanding sports car enthusiasts. And now, the Prancing Horse wishes to enlarge its horizons by attracting a new type of clientele interested in Gran Turismo, be it for a long holiday trip or simply the daily drive to the office”, remarked Lawrence Strohl, owner of Ferrari-Maserati Quebec, moments before the unveiling of the latest creation from Maranello.

With its retractable roof that disappears in the trunk in 14 seconds, the new spider-coupé 2+2 has already seduced a number of buyers in North America and elsewhere in the world. Under its luscious hood hides a traditional Italian motore in the form of a 4.3 litre direction injection all-aluminum V8 producing 460 hp sent to the rear wheels through an F1-type robotized double clutch 7-speed gearbox with paddle shifters. For those who still wish to exercise their left leg, the California is also available with a manual 6-speed transmission. In both cases, the gearbox is located at the rear axle in order to improve front-to-rear weight distribution (57 to 43 %).

Exclusivity, sumptuous interior, superb finish, seductive figure, noble motore and the latest technological advances are some of the features which will, to be sure, prompt you to withdraw the required $262,000 from your piggy bank or, like some of us, to continue dreaming about your Italian mistress.
