Canada is readying to roll some Canuk hospitality out into the worldwide supercar scene. Though Canadians are known the globe over for our passion for hockey and pleasant demeanor, HTT is about to give the international community a whole new reason to respect the maple leaf.

You may have heard that a Quebec-based technology company called HTT has been working on what will become Canada's first supercar. The brand's reptilian-looking speed machine is called the Plethore-- and its most important attribute (aside from its origins), is what's under the hood.

Bibs on, horsepower buffs. Plethore gets a 6.2 litre Corvette ZR-1 derived V8 engine that's good for a monstrous 750 horsepower. The mid-mounted engine drives the rear tires via a good-old-fashioned six-speed manual gearbox, while staggered wheel sizes see rolling stock at 19-inches in diameter up front, and 20 inches in the rear.

Brembo brakes provide stopping power, and the entire package weighs in at about the same as a Mazda MX-5. Unlike the latter, Plethore's central driving position enables seating for the driver and two passengers.

Bodywork looks like nothing else on the road, and Plethore stands out immensely thanks to a squat, wide rear-end set off by four round taillamps. Abundant venting and a rear-mounted splitter hint at the explosive performance.

HTT's website says the Plethore is available for ordering now, with a pricetag starting at just under $400,000 Canadian dollars. Canada's first four-wheeled cruise missile will be displayed at the SEMA show in Vegas from November 3 to 6.
