The SEMA show is always packed with a plethora of aftermarket and performance goodies that water the mouths of car enthusiasts from all corners of the globe. Though Korea and Japan have some of the hottest models on display this year, fans of modern American muscle are well represented too, thanks in part to the Hurst Camaro.

Here's the gist: Chevrolet and go-fast experts Hurst combined forces in the name of evil to create a one-of-a-kind Camaro. Chevy provided the car, and Pennsylvania-based Hurst provided special 20-inch wheels, a short-throw pistol-grip shifter, and a unique rear spoiler for added flare.

Hurst personnel also kitted the Camaro's cabin with special metal badges and signed the decklid as a nod to the machine's authenticity. The body is finished in black paint with silver and red striping, and a magnaflow exhaust and Eibach suspension setup are mounted beneath.

Translation? The Hurst Camaro is built to shift quickly, sound mean, handle sharply, and look completely badass in the process.

Though the car looks 110 percent mean, the intentions behind it are admirable. This first Hurst Camaro was auctioned off pre-show to benefit the SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund-- which exists to encourage industry leadership by supporting students in automotive aftermarket programs.

"This is hands-down the coolest Hurst Camaro ever...in fact, it's the first one!" said Hurst Performance CEO and 25 year SEMA Scholarship Committee member, Chris Phillips. "At Hurst Performance, we are committed making a difference with our cars and that includes helping young people get started in their careers in this industry. We are honored to join SEMA and GM in donating this car to this very worthy cause."

No word on a production version as of yet-- though it's not an impossibility.
