The big boy toy
Countless gearheads spent their childhoods pushing Hot Wheels around the sandbox, dreaming of the day they’d drive the full-size versions. Well, those dreams finally came true: On Day 1 of the SEMA show, Chevrolet unveiled the Camaro Hot Wheels Concept.

Inspired by one of the 16 original Hot Wheels introduced in 1968, this very special Camaro has inherited a number of telltale styling cues, including a stunning metallic green paint job that serves as a focal point for the model. The dazzling hue is the result of a complicated process and, according to GM design director Phil Zak, is also an industry first.

A myriad of mods distinguish the Hot Wheels Camaro from the original such as Brembo brakes, a lowered Pedders suspension, 20” wheels, a new exhaust system, and a ton of Chevy accessories.

The concept’s powertrain consists of a 6.2L V8 mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
