We never get tired of talking about the Honda Civic. Especially not when the new 9th generation is just about to hit the streets. In order to welcome the new car, we thought we'd look back on the previous 8 generations and pull out our 10 favourite versions of the acclaimed Civic. Here they are:
10 - 1973 Civic 1500
We could not have a Top 10 list on the Civic without starting with the beginning or is that ending with the beginning... Back in 1973, Honda introduced what was to become their halo bread & butter car. With a 50 hp 4-cylinder engine and an ultra-low curb weight, the Civic managed an easy 40 US mpg (5.9L / 100 km) 40 mpg doesn't sound so special now does it? Sweet car!
