On Tuesday, May 26, Volvo released a new online interactive racing game starring its very own race cars. Online gaming and car enthusiasts can now take part in "Volvo - The Game", developed by the Swedish automaker and domestic partner SimBin. Players can choose from a selection of six cars, including the all-new S60 Concept.

Fans of European Touring Championships will recognize many classic Volvos from the past and present, including the current C30 STCC (Swedish Touring Car Championship), the S60 STCC from a few years ago, the S40 that enjoyed huge success in the British Touring Car Championship as well as the legendary 850 Wagon BTCC. Let’s not forget a true racing icon: the 240 Turbo Group A.

With graphics that are as detailed and realistic as possible, "Volvo - The Game" offers participants the opportunity to race on two marquee tracks, namely Sweden’s Gothenburg Eco Drive Arena and -- a world premiere for virtual games -- Ukraine’s Chayka, just outside Kiev.

Three different skill levels are available: "novice" with all the driver assistance technology activated such as ABS brakes, "semi-pro", and finally "pro" where there is no assistance whatsoever.

"Volvo - The Game" can be downloaded free of charge to your own PC at www.volvocars.com/intl. It’s available in English, German, French, Italian and Spanish.
