VANCOUVER, Canada– EPIC: The Vancouver Sun Sustainable Living Expo is back May 28-30 at the Vancouver Convention Centre West for its fourth year as Western Canada’s largest smart lifestyle consumer tradeshow and eco-marketplace.
See the car everyone is talking about! The Tesla Roadster is the only high performance highway-capable electric vehicle in serial production in North America and Europe. Six times as efficient as other top sports cars while producing one-tenth of the pollution and zero emissions, it goes 0 to 60 in less than four seconds. With a top speed of 201 km/h, the car travels over 300kms on a single charge.
EPIC also features the chance to get behind the wheel of the current lineup of Toyota and Lexus hybrids, including the Lexus HS 250h, the world’s first hybrid-only luxury vehicle.
Also new for 2010, EPIC on Wheels: The Future of Sustainable Transportation is set to take centre stage as the go-to source to get educated on the wide-ranging social, environmental and economic benefits of making energy-saving transportation decisions.
Transportation experts will gather on the EPIC Main Stage at 12:00pm Saturday May 29 to discuss options to improve mobility while handling the forecasted growth on the Lower Mainland, as well as answer questions about the optimal mix of transportation options.
“This panel is about people coming together wanting to tackle major local issues, such as the reality of increased traffic congestion in the Lower Mainland, by finding transport options that leave a softer footprint," says Keith Morgan, Driving Editor for the Vancouver Sun and Panel Moderator.
