Last week, we reported that Saab had to halt car production for three full days after several of the Swedish automaker's bigger suppliers stopped deliveries due to unpaid bills.
Yesterday, Saab announced it had suspended production again due to material shortages.
A company spokeswoman downplayed the situation by insisting that Saab is ''working intensively to make sure the flow gets going again'' while at the same time ''having discussions with suppliers and doing our best to come to mutual agreements".
However, she declined to say how long the production stoppage would last.
Spyker CEO and Saab Chairman Victor Muller told ANP-Reuters that the company expects to have more interruptions in production but is ''not on the verge of collapse''. He added: ''It will take some time to get everyone back in line properly''.
