All the hooting and hollering is now subsiding to a dull roar now that the Olympics have wrapped up. A HUGE congratulations to Team Canada for their performance in the 2010 Olympic Games! An equally HUGE congratulations to the athletes of the world who competed and of course, to Vancouver and Whistler for hosting the world! Between the recession and natural disasters, it is a breath of fresh air to celebrate in the midst of what has been a tough year for the world at large. The world can be an unforgiving place, finding a reason to cheer is always, in my opinion, an excellent thing!
It wasn't only the Olympics that urged positivity this past weekend. Montreal welcomed the 2010 Moto Show at the Palais des Congrès. Not only was it an opportunity to look at the latest in the world of motorcycles-- one professional freestyle motocross rider took it upon himself to celebrate Motocross in Canada! Ben Milot, a friend of The Auto123 Show, someone you may recall from our 'Poetry in Motion' video and 2009 Supermotocross, threw one heck of a party!
Ben's enthusiasm is contagious! Picture this: a room filled with some of the industry's greatest stars: Enduro Rider Guy Giroux, Former Canadian Champion Simon Homans, up and coming twin Freestyle Riders Justin and Benjamen... coupled with screens playing video footage of 5-time Canadian Champion Jean Sebastien Roy and Ben Milot doing the sickest tricks... and a group of people ready to really celebrate the future of motocross in Canada! It was a good time, but moreover, it served as a big reminder that as Canadians and as motorsports fans-- there's a lot to be grateful for!

It's the world-famous Daytona Bike Week as we speak, the Canadian Rally Championship has already begun, Nascar is off to the races and F1 is just around the corner... WOW!
