For the first time ever, Jaguar will offer a diesel engine in North America, more specifically with the 2017 XE compact sedan. According to Driving.ca, the Jaguar XE 20d will house a 2.0L turbo-diesel Ingenium engine that produces 180 horsepower and 318 lb-ft of torque through an 8-speed automatic transmission.
This will be Jaguar's most fuel-efficient model, although consumption ratings have yet to be announced.
You don't like diesel? Fret not, as the XE will also offer a turbocharged V6 generating 340 horsepower and allowing 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 4.9 seconds.
The 2017 Jaguar XE is scheduled to launch in Canada and the U.S. in the spring of 2016.
