GM Inside News revealed an image of a vehicle that, they say, is a Kia version of the Hyundai Genesis Coupe. It’s reportedly set to be unveiled in the very near future, and for the moment, only the grille would be replaced by the one now adorning every new product of the Korean automaker.
The article mentions a 2.4-litre GDI engine producing 200 hp and 200 ft-lb of torque, a 2.0-litre GDI generating 291 hp and 302 ft-lb of torque and a 2.2-litre TDI punching out 210 hp and 320 ft-lb of torque. Should the vehicle be masssively produced, it’s highly likely that North Americans would get either the first, the second or a choice of one or the other. All engines are to be mated to an eight-speed autobox.
Of course, this is all just conjecture at this point, but we sincerely hope that this gorgeous “Kia Genesis” actually sees the light of day!
