The new 2013 Buick Encore crossover represents more than just an encore on Buick's behalf. GM's entry-level luxury brand is in full-swing and the new Encore is proof that they're serious about taking on the competition.
The Encore will feature every amenity one would expect from a Buick including, but not limited to, QuietTuning technology, remote vehicle start, Bose premium sound system and a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls.
The real money is in the powertrain department. The 2013 Buick Encore will be powered by a smart Ecotec turbocharged 1.4L 4-cylinder engine. Its 140 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque will be channelled to the front or all four wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The 5-seater luxury crossover will compete with the likes of the BMW X1, Audi Q3, Infiniti EX and a few others in this increasingly popular and growing segment when it goes on sale in early 2013.
