One of the best-kept secrets at the 2015 North American International Auto Show was definitely the all-new 2015 Ram 1500 Rebel, which brings a one-of-a-kind off-road design to the full-size truck segment with a massive stance and an oversized Ram logo on the front grille, not to mention 33” tires on 17” wheels.
The Ram 1500 Rebel also houses a 3.6L Pentastar V6 rated at 305 horsepower, while a HEMI V8 producing 395 horsepower is available. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, and customers will have a choice of either 4x2 (HEMI only) or 4x4 configurations.
The body can be painted in one of five different colours, while the cabin offers red and black vinyl seats with Sedoso fabric inserts embossed with the Toyo tire tread pattern, matching the truck's actual footprint.
The new Ram 1500 Rebel is the 10th member of the Ram truck lineup, which includes Tradesman, Express, SLT, Big Horn/Lone Star, Outdoorsman, Sport, Laramie, Longhorn and Limited. It will go on sale in the second half of 2015 and pose a direct threat to the freshly redesigned Ford F-150 Raptor.
