A123 – Like the capacity to recharge them away from home?
DM – Yes. Capacity to recharge and range, as well as affordability.
A123 – Now, in the truck side what’s coming up?
DM – An all-new Explorer is coming to market this year! The Explorer has been the best-selling sport utility in North America for many years and we think that the new Explorer, being on a car-based platform, with all-wheel-drive, will offer great amenities, great functionalities and great fuel economy for consumers. It’s that exciting of a product.
And let’s not forget the Super Duty that’s new this year as well with diesel.
A123 – Will this new Explorer be using the Taurus platform?
DM – We haven’t announced yet. We haven’t given specifics...
A123 – What about the future Escape: will it really be the European Ford Kuga?
DM – We will get a new Escape and it is going to be the new Kuga...
A123 -- ... the second-generation Kuga?
DM – Exactly. And that’s all we’re saying. The Escape is the best-selling compact sport utility in Canada. Sales have increased on a year over year basis last year, and we think it will continue to stay strong in 2010. And when we bring to market the next generation Escape, we think that it will be a home run.
