Corona, Calif
. - Recent testing revealed that off-the-shelf Eibach suspension components dramatically improve performance and mileage in a 2010 Camaro SS. Known worldwide for their success on the race track, Eibach has effectively applied this knowledge to the street with their Pro-Plus Performance Handling Package for the hot new Chevrolet Camaro.

Five performance tests were conducted at Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, California by TestPilots(tm) Independent Testing Services and drifting champion Sam Hubinette. An Eibach-equipped 2010 Camaro SS outperformed the same car in stock configuration in 0-60 acceleration and all-out cornering, as well as slalom and road course lap times. After the tests, Hubinette said, "The Camaro is more precise and rewarding to drive." He continued, "While the SS suffered from persistent understeer in stock configuration, the Eibach springs and anti-roll kit turned it into a much sharper, more responsive instrument."

Baseline tests with the showroom stock Camaro SS were conducted in the morning, using state-of-the-art electronic testing equipment. Then, the Eibach Pro-Plus Package, consisting of Pro-Kit progressive lowering springs and Anti-Roll Kit, was installed onsite while TestPilots(tm) observed the process and certified that no other changes were made to the vehicle.

In the afternoon, Hubinette pushed the modified SS to its limits once again. Even though the air and track temperatures were much higher, the Eibach-equipped Camaro outperformed its stock counterpart in nearly every test. Eibach R&D performed mileage testing under rigidly controlled environmental and procedural conditions. The Camaro SS was run over the same 167.7-mile freeway course, in both stock and Eibach-equipped configurations. Testing was done starting at 5:00 AM on consecutive Saturday mornings with almost identical weather conditions (no more than 2-degree variation in temp). Wind and traffic were minimal on both test runs. The same precise filling techniques were used, by the same experienced test driver, and the Camaro SS was run at a steady 70 mph, with cruise control engaged to eliminate any driver inconsistency.

In stock condition, the 2010 Camaro SS recorded 23.34 miles per gallon. With the Eibach Pro-Plus installed, mileage shot up to an impressive 26.40 mpg... a full 13% improvement.*

Eibach's Vice President of Marketing Oliver Rathlein said, "With fuel mileage a growing concern, we're pleased to provide our customers with products that not only improve performance but also have the potential to increase fuel efficiency."
