Russian race car driver Daniil Kvyat will soon drive the Toro Rosso Formula 1 car at the circuit of Mugello, Italy.
Kvyat, who has just clinched the title of the GP3 series, will be behind the wheel of the Ferrari-powered Toro Rosso STR8 this Friday.
The team wants Kvyat to complete the necessary mileage for him to get a Formula 1 super licence.
Then, Toro Rosso will be allowed to run him in Friday’s first free practice sessions of the two remaining Grands Prix of the season, in the USA and Brazil.
Kvyat will replace Daniel Ricciardo at Toro Rosso next season.
