Next week's test at the Jerez circuit is expected to go ahead as scheduled despite fears that the required homologation would not be completed in time.

The Spanish circuit underwent significant changes during Formula 1's summer break, including the resurfacing of the track. That triggered fears that the circuit would not be ready in time for next week's final test of the season, with Mugello being considered instead.

Jerez officials, however, said on Wednesday that Charlie Whiting, the FIA Safety Delegate, visited the track on Monday and everything was fine.
