Former Formula 1 World Champion drove a Formula 1 car for the first time in two years as he piloted a Renault R30 Monday at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia, Spain.
The Finn is training prior to making his official return in F1 next month when he is scheduled to drive the 2012 Lotus F1 car.
Raikkonen spoke to Sky Sports News about his experience (see video).
The two-year old Renault ran on harder Pirelli demonstration tires, means that lap times were meaningless. However, initial feedback from the team suggested that Raikkonen was showing well already. Testing will continue tomorrow.
