Former Grand Prix driver Ricardo Patrese was back in a Formula 1 car yesterday for the first time in 15 years thanks to the invitation made by Honda's driver Rubens Barichello who recently beat Patrese's record for the most Grand Prix completed.

Patrese was at Jerez today to drive the Honda Racing F1 RA107 car fitted with Bridgestone demonstration tires. The 17 years F1 veteran completed 5 laps with a best time of 1:30.210.

"I was surprised to see how quickly I felt at ease in the car," declared Patrese on the Honda Racing F1 site. "The speed was quite a surprise on the first couple of laps but afterward it felt really great".
