Dark clouds on Rubens Barrichello's future at Williams.

Rubens Barrichello has urged his team to stick to their current driver line-up, but for now Williams remains tight lipped about their drivers for next year.

Williams is currently undergoing some major restructuring and by all accounts is struggling financially. As Pastor Maldonado stays at Williams next year, the prospect of another pay driver recently emerged, like Giedo van der Garde for example, who is substantially backed by McGregor.

Romain Grosjean is also well backed by Total, knowing that the future FW34 will be powered by the Renault engine.

Rubens Barrichello says to AutoHebdo.fr: "Unless Williams are suffering from money problems, they should keep what they have now: a very experienced driver and highly motivated young driver who is developing. Having two young drivers for next year would be a bad decision. But I’m just waiting in my corner, I cannot do anything more."

The Brazilian veteran of 315 grands prix insists: "I’m here because I love what I do, I feel competitive because I beat my teammate and I do it correctly. If I had been here just for the fun of being in F1, I would have preferred to stay home. I’d had enough of politics but I still want to drive the fastest cars, and these are F1."
