Dave Thomas at Cars.com's Kicking Tires has learned that the U.S. version of the Fiat 500 Cabrio will make its debut at the 2011 New York Auto Show (April 22-May 1). It will go on sale shortly after, in time for drop-top season.
Much like the coupe, the convertible should be close if not identical to the European model.
The Fiat 500 arrived in Canadian showrooms last week, and while no additional information is available at the moment, it's safe to assume that the new variant will retain the 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder engine that produces 101 horsepower and 97 lb-ft of torque.
