In the Cobo Arena this morning, Ford presented its Interceptor Concept.
Based on a stretched Mustang platform, the tough-looking sedan sports a long 3,068-mm wheelbase (120.8 inches) and spans 5,121 millimeters long (201.6 inches).
The engine on duty in the Interceptor Concept is a 400-hp 5.0-liter V8. Called the Cammer engine, a name used in Mustang engines of yesteryear, it is actually based on Ford's 4.6L engine, and successfully powered Ford Racing's FR500C last season.
