In Paris, Citroën presented the embodiment of the virtual fantasy of Grand Turismo 5's creators. Directly inspired by the game, the French manufacturer's engineers have brought to life the car with the herringbone emblem.

It is a result of the partnership between Citroën and the creators of the Playstation 3 game, Polyphony, who've already sold over 50 million copies of the game worldwide.

According to Citroën, the car is the very incarnation of aerodynamics with its intense visual cues. Its sculpted lines and sharp graphics are designed to give the impression of speed. The same process has been applied to the rear of the car, the tail stretching way back behind the axle. Even at a standstill, the GT seems to be covering ground.

Citroën has been teasing car fans for weeks now with pictures of the car covered by a veil that only betrays abstract lines. Finally unveiled this morning, the GT is not destined for production. Obviously, the goal here was to attract the attention of gamers and indulge in an automotive flight of fancy.

The GT is a little less than 5 m long and barely 109 cm high. Its stance is low, very low even. Unfortunately for Citroën and Grand Turismo fans, it's unlikely that the car will make it into production. We'll have to make do with the virtual version.
