2. Goodyear Assurance
Here's a tire model we’ve had occasion to drive on over a long period of time. The Assurance is available in a variety of forms, but the one most recommendable for Canadian motorists and the climate we deal with is the Triple Tred version with deep grooves including diagonal treads for light autumnal snowfalls. The quietest and most comfortable is the ComforTred, available in most sizes for cars, vans and SUVs with 15- to 18-inch rims and T, H and even V speed ratings.
For those who want a tire that will improve the fuel efficiency of any vehicle including hybrid or electric cars, the Assurance is available in the Fuel Max version. Note that Assurance tires have earned a great reputation for their efficiency on wet pavement.
Finally, for those who fit into the category of less-frequent drivers and who want an "certified" winter/summer tire, Goodyear has created the Assurance Weather Ready.
