Hyundai Motor America CEO John Krafcik finally announced what fans of the Korean brand have been clamouring for a long time. Starting in the 2014 model year, both the Hyundai Genesis and Equus premium sedans will be available with all-wheel drive.
The move will coincide with the arrival of their updated platform.
The Genesis and Equus made their Canadian debut in 2009 and late 2010, respectively.
Many analysts expect the AWD variant to boost Genesis sales in the northern part of the continent, where rear-wheel drive can prove tricky on snow-covered surfaces, making potential buyers concerned.
