Today is the North-American debut of Hyundai's mid-size crossover, the Veracruz. Like the Azera, The Veracruz is destined to bring luxury and performance at a more-affordable level.

Power comes from Hyundai's familiar 3.8-liter, 24-valve V6. In this application, it produces 260 horsepower and 257 lb-ft of torque. The all-wheel drive system sends power to the rear wheels as needed, and the system can be locked in a 50:50 distribution at the touch of a button.

Quoted as having more interior space than a Mercedes GL-Class, the Veracruz provides 7-passenger seating, and the 3rd-row can fold flat into the floor. Other features include an intelligent key, rain-sensing wipers, adjustable pedals, a backup warning system, a power liftgate and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system.
