Last year the venerable Indianapolis Motor Speedway had its’ version of a life-sized Hot Wheels car complete with human driver.

This year what could top that? How about a zip line?

According to an article in the Indianapolis Star the popularity of an 800 zip line in connection with Super Bowl XLVI has tweaked interest in the folks who run the 103-year old Brickyard.

"It is certainly something we're interested in and something we're exploring," IMS spokesman Doug Boles told the Star. "But we're in the very, very beginning stages and we have a bunch of hurdles to cross. Where would it fit? Would it add to our experience? And thirdly, how does the business model look?"

And, if you have been hiding under a rock for the last few years a zip line “consists of a cable stretched between two points at different elevations. On zip line tours, which are very popular, you wear a harness (like a big diaper) that is hooked onto a pulley, which is hooked onto the cable. Step off the platform on the first point and gravity will "zip" you along to the other platform,” according to Adventure Travel.
