In order to promote its 2015 QX60 crossover, Infiniti has launched a new ad campaign inspired by a classic scene from the 1983 comedy National Lampoon's Vacation. You know, the one where Clark Griswold (portrayed by Chevy Chase) and his family head to Walley World in a Ford LTD Country Squire wagon with wooden panels and come across a beautiful blonde driving a red Ferrari 308 GTS?

The actress who played the latter, Christie Brinkley, returns in the role of the wife, and the guy who played Rusty in 1997's Vegas Vacation, Ethan Embry, becomes the father. They too hit the road for Walley World, this time in a brand new 2015 Infiniti QX60, and see an attractive blonde in a sports car fast approaching. As Embry and the girl flirt with each other on the highway, Brinkley catches this action and ends the scene with an ironic response: "Honey, a blonde in a convertible? Seriously?"

"The QX60 is the ideal choice for families needing versatility but who also don't want to sacrifice a thrilling and empowering drive. The ‘Vacation' scene is so iconic, and we wanted to recreate it through the lens of a modern day family in a luxury SUV," said Allyson Witherspoon, director of Marketing Communications and Media, Infiniti USA.

The 2015 Infiniti QX60 features a 3.5L DOHC V6 engine that produces 265 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive models are available.
