After four consecutive events on road circuits, the IndyCar series will have its first oval race of the 2010 season and, like no other teams, Ganassi Racing seems to have figured out what it takes to win on the Kansas Speedway.

Back in his days with Ganassi, British driver Dan Wheldon won the Road Runner Indy 300 in 2007 and 2008 while Scott Dixon won it last year after Wheldon left to drive for Panther Racing.

“Kansas has been a fantastic track for us,” said Dixon.

“The cars have always done well there, whether it’s been an open test, a team test, a tire test, or the race weekend.”

In each of the last four years, the New Zealander has finished fourth or better at Kansas, including starting from the pole and finishing third in 2008.

Things shouldn't be as easy for Alex Tagliani and the FAZZT Racing Team as they will be on the Kansas 1.5-mile oval for the first time ever and they will have to learn quickly.

Only two testing sessions are scheduled on Friday for the 27 drivers entered before qualifying that will take place in the afternoon.
