After gathering at the Race of Champions (Roc) and Felipe Massa’s karting event, stars of motor sports will meet at the Palais omnisports Paris-Bercy for one more race.
Two Canadians have be chosen to represent their country at the all-star event: Robert Wickens, Virgin’s third F1 driver, and Lance Stroll, one of Ferrari’s junior drivers. It will be interesting to see how they fair in their respective races.
The weekend kicks-off at 2:05 PM (Eastern Standard Time), with Race 1 for Stroll and the other Junior drivers. Stars drivers, with Wickens among them, will make their first appearance at 2:40 PM for their qualifying round. Saturday’s Star drivers’ finale is scheduled at 5:20 PM, and Sunday’s at 12:20 PM.
All the drivers will be using the same, conventional SodiKart chassis equipped with a revolutionary electric engine. The small power-train will produce 20kW (26hp), for as long as 15 minutes at a time. Top speed should reach over 100km/h.
As for the track, it has been purpose-build inside – and outside – Paris-Bercy’s Palais ominisports. 12,000 spectators are expected to line up along the 550m track.
