Kia joined forces with DC Entertainment, West Coast Customs and RIDES Magazine to present its Batman-inspired Optima SX Limited and Aquaman-inspired Rio 5-door at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.

Previously unveiled at New York's Time Warner Center, the former sports a matte and piano black paint scheme, a dramatically lowered suspension, a muscular ground effects kit, Ksport performance brakes, and custom 20'' black wheels with one-of-a-kind Batman-logo centre caps. The unique front grille is shaped like a batwing, yellow LED lighting accents the vehicle, and the iconic bat signal is etched into the HID headlights.

Inside, you'll find custom black leather and suede seats with yellow accent stitching, and even utility throwing stars installed in the centre console.

Meanwhile, the Aquaman-themed Rio hatchback is draped in special gold, green and orange for a very reptilian look. Other visual elements include Oracle LED wheel rings and body lighting across the exterior, plus 20'' colour-matched Asanti wheels.

The seats have been reupholstered with green leather featuring yellow and gold accents. Elsewhere, the customized trunk enclosure, inspired by Aquaman comics, features a unique polycast cutout that creates an underwater scene lit with Oracle LED lighting.
