After nearly 38 years at increasingly involved positions within Mitsubishi, Koji Soga was recently appointed as the new president and CEO of Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada (MMSCAN).
The 60 year old former CEO of Mitsubishi Motor Sales in Europe started his post on Oct 1 after being appointed by the board of directors. The appointment followed a lengthy selection process designed to ensure the ideal candidate for the position was chosen. Soga formerly held leadership roles in product planning, market, and corporate responsibility. Now, his top priorities include customer and shareholder satisfaction and product excellence.
"Our focus is to grow, develop and expand Mitsubishi by listening carefully to the wants and needs of the Canadian market," he elaborated. "We have an excellent team at MMSCAN head office and a growing and committed dealer network. It is a winning combination that will continue to mark Mitsubishi as a company to watch."
Soga cites the company's history of building cars and features that the consumer wants as an ongoing success factor and plans to continue this trend by strengthening customer and dealer relationships.
