Nicolas Minassian has had a massive accident aboard the new Peugeot 908, while performing an endurance test aboard the new Peugeot Le Mans car on the Paul Ricard HTTT circuit in southern France.

The French driver escaped unhurt, but the car was seriously damaged, which put a premature end to a scheduled 30-hour endurance test.

A failure of the suspension would have caused the accident.

Two new Peugeot 908 LMP1 cars are expected to take the start of the Sebring 12 Hours in March.
