A 430-hp Panamera for Porsche purists
Porsche finally revealed the mysterious new model they'd promised for the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show. Behold, the 2013 Porsche Panamera GTS, a hardcore sedan scheduled to hit Canadian showrooms next spring at a base price of $125,400.
Under the hood is a modified version of the German automaker's 4.8L naturally aspirated V8 engine. Output is up by 30 horsepower to 430, while torque has been increased by 15 lb-ft to 384. Combined with all-wheel drive and the 7-speed, dual-clutch PDK transmission, the Porsche Panamera GTS can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds on its way to a top speed of 288 km/h. An adaptive air suspension works with a 10-mm lower ride height to improve handling. In addition, the wheels, tires and brakes have all been lifted from the Panamera Turbo. As for styling, the 2013 Porsche Panamera GTS stands out with black side skirts and lower rear fascia, a SportDesign front bumper, plus an exclusive body colour option called ''Carmine Red.''
