The all-new Maserati Levante, introduced in Frankfurt five years ago as the Kubang concept, was supposed to be built in the U.S. However, a press release from FCA indicates that production of Maserati’s first-ever SUV has now begun at the Mirafiori plant near Turin, Italy.
Sales will launch in Europe in May of 2016, then in other parts of the globe later in the year.
