When the Quattroporte was launched a couple of years ago, the car was applauded for its breathtaking styling and terrific engine. Its automated
manual transmission, however, deserved itself a unanimous thumbs-down.

Now comes a new and conventional automatic in the Quatttroporte sedan. Built by ZF, the new 6-speed gearbox required some modifications underneath the car for it to fit. The car's weight distribution goes from 47% in front and 53% in rear to 49% and 51% respectively.

The new Quattroporte has been on sale since January.
